Your Liability

The University has arranged 'All Risks' insurance in respect of equipment whilst off-site in the custody of (and on-site whilst still in the custody of) University staff/students and used for University business.

Policy excess: £5,000
Principal Conditions: Excludes losses from unattended vehicles.
Theft cover is subject to evidence of forcible entry to or from the premises.

In many cases, the policy excess will be greater than the value of the equipment lost, and in these circumstances, the department will be responsible for the replacement cost.

You are borrowing university property and are responsible for its safekeeping at all times. You will therefore be liable for the full replacement cost of the equipment in the following circumstances:

Siso Software Limited are not responsible or liable in any way for any errors, damages or any other loss caused by your usage of this system. For the avoidance of doubt this includes any loss howsoever suffered including negligence or fraud except where such negligence causes death or personal injury.
